Women's Institute
To enjoy friendship within the local community. To develop skills and talents through lifelong learning. To widen horizons. To improve the quality of life in the community and together, to influence local, national and international affairs. Finally you will have the opportunity to take part in sport and competitions.
We are a friendly WI and welcome new members.
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of every month at Gislingham Village Hall at 7.30pm. A speaker is invited to most meetings covering a wide variety of subjects.
Throughout the year we have theatre outings, shopping trips, craft days, a strawberry tea or barbecue and celebrate annual events in which we are entertained or have great fun organising and providing our own.
The WI exists as a friendly club and this is achieved by giving women the opportunity to informally meet together, exchanging ideas and information.
