Becky Baker

Photo of Rebecca Baker I came to the village from Leeds in 2001 to do a degree at UEA. Originally I'm from Plymouth in Devon, but have also lived in London and Hamburg. I'm currently working freelance doing patient satisfaction surveys for the East Anglian Ambulance NHS Trust.

Interests

Supposedly I enjoy trekking at high altitude in dogdy countries, but I'm not so sure anymore. I prefer a life of comfort these days. I do enjoy treading the boards in the Village Hall though, as some of you may have witnessed over the past couple of years if you saw "Oliver" or "Joseph". For anyone new to the village this is a great way to get to know loads of great people. But don't take my word for it - have a look at the Gislingham Variety Club's page on this website and get in touch with any of the committee members if you want to know more. I'm also a bit of a foodie and love all the locally-produced food that's available around here. On a serious note I'm interested in 'developing country' issues - politics, poverty, health etc - since that's what I studied at UEA.
