Robert Moyes
Lived (on and off) in Gislingham for 60+ years.
Served in British, Indian, Australian armies and the RAF.
Clerk to P.C. until recently for some 25 years and still clerk to trustees of Gislingham United Charities also secretary of Gislingham Youth Project. Born in London, moved to Suffolk 1941 to get away from the Blitz.
Father was born in Mellis worked in Gislingham he joined the Met Police as a young man and retired here living in Mill Street after being invalided out of the Police.
I first worked helping to build Horham Airfield during the WW2 and then on to Eye (Brome) Airfield
Interests
Currently computing, reading, walking (with dogs), and listening to Classic FM and Radio 3.
Do not like rubbish pop music, but have catholic tastes otherwise.
