About this website

This website has been produced as a resource for the residents of Gislingham village. It enables organisations in the village to promote their activities, and provides residents with a forum to keep in touch with what's happening and to make their own voice heard.

The website contains a number of sections that anyone is free to browse. These include:

A news section - with the latest updates of items affecting the village and the organisations active within it
Events listings - with details of forthcoming events, including links to organisers and venues.
Organisation profiles - information about the different organisations in the village
Business profiles - listings for local businesses in the village
People profiles - a listing of people registered on the site who are happy to have their profile publicly available
Noticeboards - a space for any sort of notice of interest, an online equivalent to the noticeboard outside the post office!
Forums - discussion areas for residents to make their views known on items of interest

All these sections are free to read. Residents may also register, which enables them to post material under any of the above sections. Access to post material on the website is given for the purposes of encouraging the community and activity of the village, and it is not available as of right. Access may be withdrawn if used to post abusive or offensive content.
