VANDALISM
I would just like to say how sad and sickened I feel about the continuous and mindless vandalism of the local Playgroups outside play area. The children currently attending the playgroup are very upset that they can not use their play area. It's very disappointing to see this yobish behaviour in such a pleasant village, maybe if the vandals saw the effects of their unacceptable behaviour they just might think twice the next time they have a desire to destroy something that does not belong to them.

Wednesday evenings at The Six Bells
If you haven't been to one of the themed Weds evenings at The Six Bells you've missed a treat. Terry (chef) cooks up some amazing dishes using all natural ingredients (no ready-made sauces here!) and it's all very good value for money too. Live a little - eat a lot!! (1 post in this forum)

Church bells
So, the bells are almost ready to be rung. Many people have given their time, money and, more recently, muscle power! to ensure that our bells will ring again. However, I think special mention must be made of Peter & Kay Lucas, without whose vision and enthusiasm this project would never have succeeded. Well done. (0 posts in this forum)

Mill Street Development and Post Office Closure
Whoever is organising the opposition to Chapel Farm development should consider the possible closure of the village post office and shop ... ie. how does one reconcile the need for further housing when we "obviously" no longer need the Post Office or Shop??? In addition, the alternative options for those who currently use these facilities (eg. Eye and Diss)are not well served by the current bus service!
So if the development is to go ahead we should at least insist on keeping the Post Office and Shop! (1 post in this forum)
